Acceptable use
The rules that keep Quinndatum useful for every customer and stop it being used against someone else's site. They are part of our terms.
The short version
- Your sites, or ones you may auditAudit sites you own, run for a client who asked, or are otherwise entitled to have audited.
- No spam, no fakesDo not use the AI tools to write spam, fake reviews or anything meant to deceive.
- No load on other sitesDo not use Quinndatum to put load on a site, or work around its limits.
- Automation through keysAPI keys are the way in for automation, not scripts that drive the app's pages.
These rules are part of our terms. They exist so that Quinndatum stays useful for every customer and is never used against someone else's site.
01Sites and accounts you may use it on
- Audit only websites you own, run for a client who asked you to, or are otherwise entitled to have audited. Reading a competitor's public pages to compare with your own is fine; using Quinndatum to probe, test or attack a site is not.
- Link only Search Console, Google Analytics, Business Profile or Bing Webmaster Tools accounts you control or are allowed to read, and upload only files you are allowed to share.
- Type brand facts only about a business you represent.
02What you put in
- Paste only text you are allowed to share with us and with the services on the sub-processors page. If it holds other people's personal information (an enquiry, a contact address), you need a lawful reason to process it, and you should remove what the tool does not need.
- Do not put in health, financial-account, government-ID or other sensitive personal information. Quinndatum does not need it for any tool.
- Do not put in anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
03The AI tools
- Do not use them to write spam, fake reviews or testimonials, content that impersonates a person or business, or anything that deceives the people who will read it.
- Do not try to make them reveal other customers' data, our instructions to the model, or anything about our systems, and do not try to get around their limits or the check on their claims.
- Do not use them, or their output, to build a competing product or to train an AI model.
04Crawling and load
- Do not use Quinndatum to put load on a site, for example by starting audit after audit of the same site to slow it down. We may stop any run that looks like it.
- Do not work around the page limits, the monthly allowances or the rate limits below, for example by opening several accounts.
- Use the app and your API keys, not scripts that drive the app's own pages or scrape its results. API keys are the way in for automation.
05Accounts, credits and reselling
- One account is one sign-in. Do not share, sell or transfer an account, or open accounts in bulk.
- Do not resell, sell, transfer or give away credits or plan allowances.
- Agencies may run Quinndatum for their own clients and hand those clients the reports and drafts. What you may not do is resell access to the account itself, or present Quinndatum's service as a product your clients sign in to.
06Security
- Do not try to reach another customer's data, test our security without written permission, or get around sign-in, plan limits or charges.
- If you find a weakness, tell us at info@quintessentianetwork.com. We will not take action against anyone who reports in good faith, tells us first and does not use the weakness.
07Rate limits
The server enforces these limits today. When one is reached, the request is refused with a sentence that says which limit it was and when to try again; nothing is charged.
| What | Limit |
|---|---|
| Failed sign-ins for one email address | 10 in 15 minutes |
| Failed sign-ins from one network | 30 in 15 minutes |
| Wrong current password when changing it | 10 in 15 minutes per account |
| Sign-ups from one network | 10 an hour |
| Free page reads that fetch a page live | 60 an hour per account |
| Contact-form messages | 5 an hour from one network |
| Pages read in one site audit | 5 on Free, 1,000 on every paid plan |
| Page audits a month | Your plan's allowance (see pricing) |
| Google rating lookups | 100 a month per account, inside a monthly limit shared by all customers |
We may add or tighten limits to protect the service; the limit in force is the one the app reports.
08What happens if a rule is broken
- Usually, we refuse the request and tell you why.
- If it continues, or puts other customers or a third party's site at risk, we may suspend the account and will tell you why.
- For a serious breach (an attack on a site, fraud, someone else's data), we may close the account at once, and we report to the authorities where the law requires.
